Brow Tattoo in Amman

Five different techniques under one name, each with a skin type it suits, a lifespan and a price. This page makes the difference clear.

Brow tattooing is not one technique

The name is one thing; the techniques under it differ in tool, in result, and in the skin type they suit. Most of the poor results I see come from choosing the wrong technique, not from poor execution.

How to choose: the answer is your skin type

  • Oily or combination skin: powder, micropigmentation or fiber. Not hand-drawn strokes.
  • Normal to dry skin: every technique is open to you.
  • Previous work on your brows: micropigmentation, or removal first if the colour has shifted blue or red.
  • You want the closest thing to natural: fiber technique.
  • Your brows have no hair, or your skin is very oily: powder brows.

Other services

  • Lip blush: 200 JOD.
  • Permanent eyeliner: 250 JOD for both lids.
  • Brow removal and correction: 75 JOD per session, and more than one session may be needed.

What happens at the appointment

  1. Consultation: skin type, any previous work, and the result you want.
  2. Measuring and mapping on your face, and nothing begins before you approve it in the mirror.
  3. Sterile tools opened in front of you, and certified imported pigments.
  4. Topical numbing, then the work, then written aftercare.
And if the technique you came for does not suit your skin I say so plainly and suggest the alternative. Saying no now is cheaper than correcting it months later.

Is brow tattooing haram?

The word “tattoo” is what raises the question, and the difference is real rather than verbal: a tattoo places permanent ink in the deep dermis and stays for life, while brow tattooing places pigment in the superficial layer and fades within three months to three years depending on the technique. Dr. Muhammad Dhawi Al-Usaimi said of microblading that it is permissible, with no harm in it, because it is not a permanent tattoo and does not reach the dermis (his answer on YouTube, Arabic). This is his view on microblading specifically; anyone wanting certainty should ask a scholar she trusts.

Frequently asked

How much does a brow tattoo cost in Amman?
At the Alaa Al Masri studio in Abdoun: powder brows 150 JOD, microblading and nanoblading 180, micropigmentation 200, and the fiber technique 250. Brow removal is 75 JOD per session.
What is the difference between brow tattoo techniques?
Microblading and nanoblading are hairstrokes and suit normal to dry skin. Powder brows are fine packed dots, for very oily skin and brows with no hair. Micropigmentation is hair strokes with no incision, more natural than microblading, and works over previous work. The fiber technique, the newest, draws fine strokes one by one in the direction the hair grows, and lasts longest.
Which brow tattoo is best for oily skin?
Powder brows, micropigmentation or the fiber technique. Microblading and nanoblading do not suit oily skin because the strokes spread with oil.
How long does a brow tattoo last?
Three to nine months for microblading and nanoblading, about a year for powder brows, one to two years for micropigmentation, and one to three years for the fiber technique.
Is a brow tattoo permanent?
No. It is semi-permanent makeup that fades gradually as the skin renews itself, and how long it holds depends on the technique and your skin type.
